History

The idea of extablishing a private secondary school by the Anglican church in Ekiti was first conceived by the Rt. Revd. C. A. Akinbola, the the then Bishop of Ekiti Anglican Diocese. Ekiti Anglican Diocesan High School was established in September 25, 1995 out of strong desire to participate in the improvement of the standard of education at the secondary school level. "Our goal is to give sound and unimpeded christian education to boys and girls who will be brought up in the way of God with emphasis on both the moral and academic details of life so that they may positively influence the society around them" The student population on resumption was twenty-six. This figure rose to forty-six in the first academic year of the school. The students were accommodated in the inherited hospital wards made up of two blocks for the boys and one for the girls.
